<p>Directions</p>
<p>1. Line a broiler pan with aluminum foil and coat with non-stick or oil spray.  Lightly sprinkle the salt over greased foil then squeeze around drops of lemon juice across the surface, and lay fish fillets on the prepared broiler pan.</p>
<p>2. Gently massage 1 teaspoon of minced garlic into each fillet.  Baste each fillet generously with sweet chili sauce.</p>
<p>3. Broil under low flame until both fillets turn fleshy and white, and the sweet chili sauce browns and caramelizes the fish.</p>

1 pint (600 ml) milk
1 tbspn cornflour, cornstarch

<p>Bring the milk to the boil and thicken with cornflour.</p>
<p>Add the fried onion and ginger and the rest of the ingredients to the sauce, stir thoroughly and pour over your grilled basa steaks.</p>
<p>This is an indonesian method of serving basa fish and you would perhaps like to try it with noodles.</p>
<p>The second of my basa fish recipes, is much plainer &#8211; serve with a salad and bread or potatoes.</p>
